Modular intelligent interface MSI extends the function of our conditioning amplifier

MSI is a modular intelligent interface used to extend the measurement function of our Trion (3) - 18xx multi and Trion-x-DLV-CB16-D9 sensor connection boxes.

Trion (3) - 18xx multi combines with MSI adapter to extend measurement capability to charge, LVDT or thermocouple inputs.

MSI is combined with TRION-1xxx-dLV-32 and Trion-x-DLV-CB16-D9 sensor connection box to expand the measurement modulus to bridge circuit, IEPE, charge, LVDT, thermocouple, Pt100 to Pt2000, and the voltage can be expanded to 600V.

Our new MSI 2 series is an improved version of the previous MSI series and is compatible with Trion xdLV-CB16-D9.

Its accuracy is about three times that of the previous version. The adapter includes calibrated high-precision cold junction compensation. It is equipped with an integrated preamplifier that can increase the tiny thermocouple voltage to several volts. This is why the V2 series can be placed directly next to the sensor. An extension cable of up to 50m can be used between MSI and Trion system, instead of using a long thermocouple cable to obtain a small signal level. This can greatly improve your signal quality in harsh electronic environments.

How does the modular intelligent interface MSI work

Each MSI is a signal conditioner designed for a specific sensor type. By reading TEDS chips, the data acquisition DAQ system obtains any information required for the corresponding adjustment of the amplifier. Users do not have to worry, it automatically gets the correct measurement range and correct unit display. For traceability, important data, such as serial number or calibration date, will also be read out and additionally stored in the measurement data file if necessary.

Our MSI2 series is an improved version of the previous MSI series. All MSIs are compatible with TRION-xdLV-CB16-D9. The accuracy is about three times that of the previous version. Expansion box TRION-X-DLV-CB16-D9

TRION-x-dLV-CB16-D9 is the function expansion box of TRION-1802-dLV-32 and TRION-1600-dLV-32 modules.

The box supports up to 16 D-SUB-9 interfaces for analog input or use of MSIs (modular intelligent interface), as well as ± 5 V excitation voltage, and each channel has remote sensing. TRION-x-dLV-CB16-D9 also has CAN and digital I/O interfaces and auxiliary sensor power supply.

It can measure strain gage and bridge sensor, IEPE ®, LVDT and RVDT, thermocouple, charge, RTD and voltage up to ± 200 V.
