What is a power analyzer? Why do you need them?

The power analyzer is used to measure and analyze the power in the system. They provide detailed data of relevant parameters such as voltage, current, power, frequency and harmonics. These devices are critical for evaluating electrical equipment performance, ensuring energy efficiency, and identifying power quality issues. Power analyzers are widely used in research and development, manufacturing and maintenance fields to optimize electrical systems and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Dewei Chuang What are the power analyzers provided?

In Dewictron, we provide various power analyzers to meet different application needs. Our product lines range from traditional rack mounted systems to compact integrated equipment. These analyzers are divided into standard type and advanced type to meet specific requirements respectively.

Key features of all models include 0.04% broadband power accuracy, intuitive user interface, advanced analysis functions such as D/Q conversion, and multiple interfaces seamlessly integrated with the host system

Standard power analyzer - LITE [PA]

Our standard power analyzers are equipped with 4 or 8 phase (voltage and current) inputs, as well as additional inputs for speed and torque measurements. They also support the integration of our XR series channel expansion modules into the input signal for low pass through RTDs or thermocouples sampling rate Temperature measurement, as well as voltage and current measurement. These systems have multiple interfaces, including CAN, Ethernet, and USB. Key feature of LITE [PA]: sampling rate up to 2MS/s bandwidth Up to 5 MHz maximum number of phases: 8 integrated touch screen displays 19 inch rack mounted advanced power analyzers For applications with higher requirements, the advanced models of Dewei Chuang can provide up to 16 phase inputs, and can process various mixed signal inputs, such as accelerometers, strain gauges, etc. These systems are fully configurable, allowing the replacement of measurement modules, making them very suitable for complex environments, such as aircraft power systems, smart grid evaluation, and high-precision component testing. In addition, our advanced power analyzer supports up to 10 MS/s sampling rate and raw data waveform recording, and can be equipped with real-time processing function, usually with only 2 ms output delay.

PA-TRIONet3 PA-TRIONet3 is our front-end power analyzer, which is connected to PC through USB3 or Ethernet. The compact size makes the power analyzer an ideal companion for mobile use. Key features: sampling rate up to 1 MS/s bandwidth up to 5 MHz Maximum number of phases: 4 Replaceable module size: 320 x 205 x 55 mm

DEWE3-A4 DEWE3-A4 It is a solution for vehicle and field power analysis applications. Its mobile design is robust, including stackable battery power supply layer and current transmitter power supply layer, ensuring safe and reliable operation anywhere. The 4-phase or 8-phase system is provided, and the 4-phase system can also be installed with two exchangeable measurement modules to adapt to different types of signals. Key features: sampling rate up to 10 MS/s, bandwidth up to 5 MHz, maximum number of phases: 8 switchable modules

Integrated system DEWE3-PA8 & DEWE3-PA8-RM

These advanced fixed power analyzers are designed for high demand applications and can provide online analysis of up to 16 phases with a maximum sampling rate of 10 MS/s. They include an integrated power supply that can supply power to up to eight current transmitters, and provide two configurations: an integrated system with an integrated touch screen or a typical rack mounted device. These systems are very suitable for laboratory and test bench environments and are powerful tools for accurate and comprehensive power analysis. Key features: the sampling rate is up to 10 MS/s, the bandwidth is up to 5 MHz, the maximum number of phases is 16, the switchable module, the integrated CT power supply. In the table below, we have compared various power analyzers in more detail. TRION(3) Power module The core of each advanced power analyzer is the TRION (3) power module. Each module supports 4-phase power analysis, and each channel has an independent A/D converter. We provide various power modules. As shown in Table 2, each module has at least 4 (up to 8) interchangeable submodules to achieve customizable input configurations. For more in-depth analysis, advanced options provide tools such as d/q analysis of DC and mechanical inputs, efficiency grouping, and harmonic, interharmonic, high-frequency and ultraharmonic analysis. Expert option includes all functions and adds rolling calculation meeting the requirements of FGW-TG3 (TR3).
