What is the customer's measurement task?  

Our customer is an operator of various wind tunnels Therefore, our customers' equipment must withstand the impact of extreme environments. This includes, for example, temperatures from - 163 ° C to+40 ° C, pressures from 1.15 bar to 4.5 bar, and Mach numbers from 0.15 to 1.35. The challenge for this project is that all distributed signals occurring - signals from the DUT and the wind tunnel - must be recorded and stored synchronously. Is it possible for customers to ensure that efficient data processing and internal pwhat configuration provide the correct system? In order to achieve the ideal configuration, we provide customers with four different chassis types. It includes three rack mounting systems, namely DEWE3-RM16 DEWE3-RM8 and DEWE3-RM4 , and a DEWE3-A4 An integrated system in the form of. All equipment is equipped with a 10GB LAN (UPG-OPT-RMxx-10GB-FO-LAN) to ensure fast data exchange. In addition, the measurement system is equipped with a total of 20 interchangeable TRION3 -1820-MULTI-8 module, each module provides 8 channels for customers, sampling rate It is 2 MS/s with a resolution of 24 bits. In addition to the standard license, customers also use the following additional software options for each device: OXY-OPT-NET can easily create a large virtual system with multiple nodes, Configure and control all systems from one master device - can work together with time synchronization and DEWETRIN's internal time benchmark TRION SYNC bus OXY-OPT-DATASTREAM transmits the recorded data through TCP/IP, performs simple configuration through SCPI interface, and realizes full remote control OXY-OPT-ETHERNET-REC for decoding UDP data packets OXYGEN Channel (OXYGEN supports one to several receiver instances) We are very proud that we have implemented the above two configurations with this customer.

What signals/physical units does the customer want to measure?  

The customer measures all signals that may occur in the wind tunnel or the DUT itself. Examples include voltage from 4 to 20 mA, current signal, bridge (DMS), vibration (IEPE), and pressure from the Kulite pressure sensor. In addition, there are already digital signals, OXYGEN receives and decodes UDP packets.  

Why is OXYGEN the right choice?

Does the customer use additional software options? OXYGEN is the perfect solution for our customers, because it can easily and quickly meet all needs. For example, all signals can be acquired and scaled in an uncomplicated way. In addition, the software also provides simple expansion options. For example, through OXYGEN-NET DEWETRON The systems are networked with each other. As a high-performance interface, OXY-OPT-DATASTREAM is used to transmit data to higher level controllers, and we have the option OXY-OPT-ETHERNET-REC to decode UDP packets.  

What about further data processing?  

Our customer has created a very personalized program for data analysis. Programming languages such as Fortran are used for this purpose. With the help of the DMD reader, our customers can quickly and easily import measurement data into custom scripts. In this way, the obtained data can also be obtained in customized analysis tools, such as the one used by customers.  

Where do customers want to use this system?  

Three rack mounted systems (DEWE3-RM16 DEWE3-RM8, DEWE3-RM4) are installed in the wind tunnel, while DEWE3-A4 is used as a mobile measurement device. On the one hand, customers use mobile measuring devices to measure in the laboratory, and on the other hand, it can carry out flexible channel extension at the wind tunnel. Therefore, the system just provides the flexibility required by customer applications.  

How do customers want to access the system?  

The customer operates the system directly. The display port interface and 4K graphics card make it possible to display large amounts of data with high resolution on the screen.

What sampling rate does the customer need?

The customer uses a medium sampling rate of 100 kS/s per channel.  

bandwidth how?  

Due to the perfect digital filter, the bandwidth can be adjusted to the accuracy of 1 hz according to the current measurement needs.  

Does the application require sensor power supply?  

In this project, sensor power supply is a key issue. Customers can set the sensor power supply range to 0 V to 24 V or - 12 V to+12 V. In addition to the sensor power supply, it is also very important to check whether the power supply is normal. With the help of excvolmonitor, the customer can detect errors in the sensor cable before measurement.  

How long does the measurement take?  

The measurement can last from a few seconds to several hours. This depends on the application the customer is currently testing. Since a very fast 2 TB SSD card is installed, even the longest measurement is OK.  


Why did the customer choose Dewetron Equipment instead of other products?  

The core of the delivery system is the TRION3-1820-MULTI-8 module. It can collect all required signals with only one measurement module. This makes the system particularly flexible, thus ensuring high investment security. Customers are also impressed by the flexibility of the chassis, which can be used as a separate measuring device or as a large measuring device through OXYGEN Net function. For customers, it is important to always ensure data synchronization. In addition, we can work with the internal development team to perfectly meet the two requirements of customers. The excvolmonitor function allows the customer to check whether the set supply voltage actually reaches the sensor. Especially for long test cables, this function is essential for many applications, which is why excvolmonitor can now provide TRION-2402 multi or TRION(3)-18 × 0-MULTI module. The CalReference function allows external calibration signals to be applied to the system to quickly check the instrument before each test. This feature is now also available to everyone.
